~ Dude...I totally didn't look like this is High School... ~
So when I married my lovely husband nearly 7 years ago, I gained alot of family. Okay...alot is an understatement, I gained a butt-load of family. My husband is the youngest of 9 kids that is extended from a large prominent St Louis Italian family. One of those family members I gained is this gorgeous bebe Jordan.
Technically she is my "second cousin by marriage one generation removed" but everyone in Italian families just refer to people as "my cousin"...so that fits!
And....can you believe she is in High School? Seriously, I did not look like that in High School. Even the hot girls at my high school didn't look like that. All of the Senior girls I've shot lately have just been knock-outs. I think the younger generations are just getting more and more beautiful.

I think the younger generations are just getting more and more beautiful. Now...in our defense...style has come a LONG way since I was in high school. We didn't have things like bronzer and miracle bra's, we didn't pluck or shape our eyebrows and stiletto heels certainly weren't in style.
We rocked the white keds with folded over socks, bushy eyebrows and the cross your heart bra that gave everyone a "uni-boob" - but we rocked it well.

For this session we headed out to NewTown St Charles. I love the shot bottom left, girlfriend could totally be a print model.

Fall is in the air. School has started, bonfires, football games and homecoming is around the corner. Part of me misses High School, alot. I at least miss the freedom of it. Meet Nicole, she is a SENIOR! She is also the little sister of one of my favorite brides. I was really excited when her mom contacted me because I remembered how cute she was and knew this shoot would be a piece of cake.
For this session we headed out to NewTown St Charles. I love the shot bottom left, girlfriend could totally be a print model.And I snagged this one (bottom left) when I made her do the "America's Next Top Model" walk, I even demonstrated it for her...and for the record, she looked ALOT better doing it ;)

I've had the opportunity to shoot some really fun Senior sessions lately. Normally
Senior photos aren't a large part of my business I sprinkle them in here and there,
my heart is with babies, kids, and weddings. Sometimes I forget how easy and fun
it is just to work with one person! It doesn't hurt that she's cute as a button. Her big sister
and her extended family are very important to me so I was thrilled to do her photos.

I've been busy the last few weeks and hibernating, trying to get all these images edited. I know I have alot of people waiting to see their "Sneak Peeks" on this blog. So for the next week or so at the bottom of each post I will list who is "on deck" and next to be on the blog!

~ Hibernation ~
If my grade school memory is correct, hibernation is dormant state bears go into while they wait for winter to pass. It's also something photographers do in the fall to get all their photos from the "busy season" edited on time :) So you know where I will be the next few weeks :)
