In 2009 a vicious house fire robbed the Mueller family of everything they had. Well, not everything, they did make it out of there with the pajamas they were wearing. Mom and the girls were home when it happened and escaped to safety only to watch every single thing they owned destroyed by the flames.
When I heard about this story last year the thing I kept hearing over and over was what a positive attitude the family had. Especially Julie, the mom. A wise man once said that a persons character is better judged in bad times than good. I cannot imagine what Julie and her family went through. But I was thrilled to get to meet them in person and help them start replacing some of the family photos they lost.
